Qi Liang
Electronics Technician

I currently work as an Electronic Technician at a public transit equipment service company. My role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic systems such as fareboxes, power supply boards, smart bus system and related components used in transit vehicles. I selected this program to strengthen my technical knowledge and gain more structured, in-depth understanding of the subject. I wanted formal training to complement my hands-on experience and to improve my problem-solving skills.

I first learned about the program through online research while looking for professional development opportunities related to my field. What I liked best was the practical focus of the courses. The material was directly applicable to real-world situations, which made it easier to connect theory with my daily work tasks. I primarily used email and discussion forums to ask questions and clarify technical concepts. The responses were timely and helpful, and the instructors provided clear explanations that improved my understanding of complex topics.

I will apply the improved troubleshooting methodology, deeper understanding of electronic circuits, and structured diagnostic approaches in my current job. In the future, these skills will also support me if I move into a more senior technical or supervisory role. Since completing the program, I have taken on more complex troubleshooting tasks and have become more confident in diagnosing board-level issues. I’m also more involved in technical decision-making within my team. I hope to leverage this certificate to pursue advancement opportunities, either within my current company or in a more senior technical position in the future.
